PROJECT OVERVIEW

This project is all about using quick prototyping as a way to brainstorm, share, and test ideas instead of aiming for perfect results. By diving into some readings and hands-on examples, I looked at how sketching, digital mock-ups, and native prototyping each have their own role in the design process. The focus is on working fast, trying things out, and learning by doing.

By comparing old-school sketching, digital prototypes, and native tools, this project shows how different methods influence the way ideas are brought to life and understood. Instead of seeing prototyping as just the final step, it treats it as a continuous journey that helps designers figure out functionality, interaction, and user experience from the get-go.

REFLECTION

This dive into rapid prototyping showed how different ways of doing things help us at various stages of thinking and creating. Sketching turned out to be a great way to quickly share ideas without getting bogged down in details, while digital prototyping made it easier to test and tweak rough concepts. Going a step further, native prototyping puts designs in their actual setting, helping us spot interaction details that often get missed in more abstract versions.

In the end, this project made it clear that prototyping isn’t about getting everything perfect. It’s about learning and improving as you go. Picking the right level of detail at the right time helps us communicate better, get quicker feedback, and make smarter design choices.
